About MathBehind

MathBehind builds free, single-purpose calculators and converters for freelancers, SaaS teams, and developers. They’re the kind of tool you reach for once, get a precise answer from, and come back to the next time you need it.

Every tool on this site works the same way: enter your numbers, see the result and the formula behind it, and nothing else. No account, no email capture to see your answer, and no walls of unrelated content between you and the calculator.

We built it this way because most of the calculators we needed as freelancers and builders were either buried in ad-heavy pages or missing the actual math, so we couldn’t tell if the number was right. Every tool here explains its formula in plain language so you can check it yourself.

How we keep the numbers honest

Each tool’s “math behind it” panel is generated from the same calculation that produces the answer, so the working you see and the result you get can’t disagree. The worked examples in each explanation are checked against the live calculator before they’re published.

Tools that depend on outside prices, like AI model or SaaS seat pricing, use a dated dataset. When a price changes we update the tool and note it in News, so you can see what changed and when.

Results are estimates for planning. They aren’t financial, legal or tax advice, and for anything with real consequences you should confirm with a professional.

Who runs MathBehind

MathBehind is built and run by Muhammad Ahmad in Lahore, Pakistan.

It currently has 32 free tools and 12 articles, and grows as people ask for new ones. Every message is read by the person who runs the site, not a support queue.
